Preventive

Preventive dentistry (also called preventative dentistry) is simply caring for ones teeth to prevent dental issues that could have detrimental effects on one’s oral health. Ineffective oral care can lead to gum disease, cavities, gingivitis, periodontitis and enamel wear. As poor oral health can also lead to secondary health problems, it is important that preventive oral health care is started in childhood, so that teeth can be kept clean, strong and white from a young age – and throughout life. At our practice we offer comprehensive preventive dentistry like:

Cosmetic

Cosmetic dentistry includes procedures that can range from delicate changes to major repairs to improve your smile. Your dentist will choose from a wide range of techniques and appliances to for example treat teeth that have become discolored, are chipped, shaped incorrectly or are missing. Teeth can be reshaped, spaces can be closed, worn or short teeth can be restored and even the length of your teeth can be altered! Cosmetic dentistry does not only deal with esthetics only, though. Some treatments also do the important job of improving oral problems that can cause patients huge discomfort, such as an incorrect bite.
At our practice we provide cosmetic dentistry to whole families as patients in the form of among others:

Restorative

Restorative dentistry incorporates proper management of oral health as well as restoring the mouth to function correctly and look esthetically beautiful. With tooth restoration your dentist might restore or replace missing teeth, or sometimes replace missing parts of your tooth formation.

Endodontic

The word endodontic is derived from the Greek word “eno” meaning ‘within’ and the Greek word “odous” meaning ‘tooth’! Endodontic therapy is commonly known as root canal treatment and is aimed at clearing tooth infection and protecting the tooth from infections later.

Endodontics is part of our services to our patients and although it is not recognized as a specialist treatment, it is carried out in the most vital part of the tooth: the pulp. The pulp is situated in the center of the tooth in the pulp chamber and contains large nerves, connective tissues and blood vessels. It is therefore treatment that should only be carried out by an experienced dentist.
